Description
Description
De l’autre côté (On the Other Side) was born from the impression of observing the city from a place slightly set back. It is there, close yet separated from us by the water, as if we could look at it without yet having to join it.
I like this distance that painting creates. It allows one to imagine what lies on the other shore, but also to mentally choose where one prefers to be: in the heart of that world seen in the distance, or simply here, apart, watching it.
