Echoes from the Peaks

A mineral landscape, almost stark, where the earth stretches out until it blends with the ridges. The shades of sand, stone, and gray give this territory a raw presence, as if it had been slowly shaped by the wind and the passage of time.

Échos des cimes evokes these arid lands that may seem hostile at first glance, but reveal a singular beauty when one takes the time to observe them. Here, nothing spectacular seeks to catch the eye: it is the textures, the rough edges, and the variations of the ground that tell the story of the landscape.

This painting also evokes that particular feeling I experience in the mountains, when my gaze moves from one peak to another and the immensity seems to push the horizon ever further away.

Mountains endure through time, seemingly motionless, and their presence brings us back to a different scale, to a rhythm other than our own.

OR I love in these spaces this sensation of being face-to-face with an essential, almost primitive earth, which exists simply according to its own rhythms, far from our agitation.
