Blue silence

These small formats evoke landscapes without ever seeking to represent a specific place. A horizon line, a few contours, a body of water, a certain light or mist are enough to bring a territory to life, while deliberately leaving its outlines and history open.

The choice not to represent these landscapes in an overly figurative way opens up a field of possibilities. Each viewer can then project their own imagination onto them, recognize a familiar atmosphere, a place they have known, or reconnect with a memory of their own.

Thus, the same painting can evoke very different landscapes and stories depending on who is looking at it, sometimes bringing to the surface a place, an emotion, or a memory that one thought was forgotten.
