Land of silence

Raw earth stretches out under an immense sky. A few plants border a body of water, the only presences in this wild landscape where nature seems to still reign at its own rhythm, far from human bustle.

Terre de silence (Land of Silence) evokes these isolated places that fascinate me and remind me of certain distant landscapes. Places where, suddenly, there is nothing left to do, nothing left that demands our attention. And perhaps that is precisely where their richness lies. In our lives where everything follows in quick succession, where time is limited and our attention is constantly solicited, these spaces offer a true breath of fresh air.

Silence regains its rightful place there. One can stop, look, listen, feel the presence of nature, and simply be there. Neither in what has just happened, nor already in what must be done next. Terre de silence is an invitation to rediscover this rare sensation: that of being fully present in the moment.
