Living Earth

In this landscape, earth and water meet with an almost striking intensity. The warm, sandy, and brown tones of the relief contrast with the deep blue that cuts across the composition, like a living force carving its way through the heart of an arid territory.

Terre vivante calls to mind for me those landscapes shaped by the elements, in perpetual transformation. Water carves, erodes, and designs the earth; the wind moves the matter; time slowly alters the terrain. Behind their apparent stillness, these lands are, in reality, always in motion.

I love the idea that nature is never truly frozen. Even in the most barren landscapes, something circulates, transforms, and continues to shape the world.
