Description

• Description

“Sable noir” (Black Sand) evokes those landscapes where black rock and volcanic sand meet the light and immensity of the water.

For me, this piece echoes Iceland, its stretches of black sand, its basalt rocks, and its landscapes shaped by fire and ice. A raw, mineral nature where the darkness of the material contrasts with the almost surreal light of the water and sky.

In a palette of greyish blues, turquoise shades, and deep blacks, the materials are layered without seeking to represent a specific place. An Icelandic coast, a volcanic island, a beach at the edge of the world… everyone is free to let their own imagination wander there.

A piece between strength and softness, shadow and light, like an invitation to wild and distant landscapes.

Fine Art reproduction of the original painting “Sable noir” by Cécile Trousse.

Available in 50 × 50 cm, 70 × 70 cm and 100 × 100 cm.
