Renewal

Renouveau is a collection born around green, a color I long struggled to incorporate into my painting and which, for some time now, has been drawing me in more and more. Here, I seek it out in soft, luminous, and nuanced tones, far from the more intense greens of summer.

These landscapes evoke for me the return of spring, that moment when nature seems to come back to life almost imperceptibly. The first shades of green appear, the light changes, the vegetation gradually reclaims its place, and the landscape transforms.

I love this time of year for the gentle and profoundly optimistic quality it carries. After the slowdown of winter, everything begins to grow, evolve, and transform again. Nature thus reminds us that nothing is ever completely stagnant and that, sometimes almost without us noticing, something can always be reborn.
